Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.
Monday I thought Kairi was sick, she didnt act like her normal self when she woke up. But she went to school anyway. When she got home she wasnt talking and i asked her what was wrong and she said she didnt feel good. The teacher sent home a note saying kai never told her she didnt feel good till like 5 minutes before school let out.
Tuesday she said she felt ok, but i kept her home anyway because to me she didnt seem ok.
Wednesday she was better so i let her to go school.
Thursday, Zach woke up crying for his daddy. He was running a fever. So he got whatever it was that Kairi had. Thankfully he was easy to deal with and Thanksgiving went pretty well.
Friday i woke up and wasnt feeling so great. Spent most of my time sleeping and feeling like crap. My kids seem to be able to function with this illness, i on the other hand cannot. I just want to sleep and feel like total crap.
Today i woke up and i felt kind of better, but this cough i have is the worst thing ever!
We also stopped using pull ups on Zach today. He was not very happy about that. He can use the potty, hes been doing it off and on for over a year now. But who wants to use the potty when they can just go where ever they are! Plus he doesnt do well with change. So we figured we would just start making him use undies. Well its not really working. He soiled himself 4 or 5 times today and never did use the potty. Hopefully tomorrow will go better, although i'm not holding my breath.

Friday marked 7 years that we have been married. It really doesnt feel like 7 years. It actually feels like just yesterday Chris was leaving for basic training. Time sure has went fast.
For our anniversary my friend Megan watched the kids so we could go out to eat. Its been over a year since we have been lucky enough to go out alone. We went to a brazilian steakhouse. It was really delicious.
Saturday we took the kids to see "A Christmas Carol". It was ok. The kids liked it. I was worried that they would have nightmares from it. Its kind of scary and Zach jumped more than once. But i think this movie is the first movie that hes actually set through with out starting to get bored towards the end. Is it a sign that hes just getting older and movies can hold his attention, or maybe he just really liked the movie that much.
Yesterday we went and picked out a new christmas tree. The one that Chris' mom bought for us for our 2nd christmas together is just way to big for out little italian house. So we bought a 6 1/2 foot tree at the shoppette yesterday. Its much smaller and not as wide as our other one. It'll work great here for the next 3 years.
Our kids have been having some major issues with listening to us and have been super bad as of late. They have made it to the point where i dread waking up and having to deal with them every day.
Time outs dont work, taking away toys, doesnt work, spankings dont work and Kairi actually laughs at spankings. So Chris came up with the great idea of making them do wall sits when they misbehave. Kairi had to do them a few times on Saturday. Guess what, Sunday she was on her best behavior! And because shes being good, Zach is being good. If he acts up we ask him if he wants to go sit on the wall and he says no and stops doing what hes doing. I hope this continues to work.
I'm right on the verge of tossing out all pull ups and telling Zach if he needs to go, then he has to do it on the potty. I'm so tried of him refusing to use the potty. Kairi was so much easier and i thought he was going to be easy because a year ago he wanted to use the potty all the time. Then he just gave it up.
Thanksgiving is this week. I hope to get the kids pictures done this week and mail them out to everyone very soon.
